Together with award-winning Dutch designer René van der Velden, who has penned every Moonen yacht design since 1999, we invest all our experience and yachting knowhow in each new design. The result is the Moonen look, a consistently superior style that every Moonen shares.
Your Moonen yacht is comfortable and safe, thanks to her steel hull and aluminium superstructure – a construction DNA she shares with the very largest Dutch built megayachts. You benefit from steel’s strength and rigidity, fire safety, collision safety and lifecycle sustainability. Once you have owned a steel yacht, you will never look back.
We start each build with shipyard financing so that we can offer you shorter delivery times. How soon you step into the project before delivery determines the level of customisation possible but we will collaborate to achieve the best possible outcome. The earlier we can discuss your wishes, the greater the opportunity to match the build with your vision.
At this level of exclusive yacht building, you shouldn’t have to choose from standardised options. We want you to step on board an exceptionally well-built yacht, surrounded by the spaces you love. Together with our interior design partner or your own interior architect, you become part of the creative process. You decide how deeply involved you would like to be.
We keep our interior trades all under one roof to offer you maximum flexibility, quality and efficiency. Our interior engineering team creates detailed drawings, which are brought to life by our in-house carpentry team. We work closely with artisan suppliers of the finest materials and finishes, from exotic woods to hand-selected marble.
No matter how soon before delivery your Moonen journey begins, you can be certain of your yacht’s superior naval architecture. We have already fine-tuned all operating systems thanks to feedback from owners and captains. Moonen’s proven engineering and continuously updated designs perform better and offer you better value than starting from a blank sheet of paper.
We install only the highest quality components, equipment and systems on board from renowned manufacturers. For specialised disciplines like electronics and HVAC air-conditioning, we partner exclusively with leading Dutch subcontractors and suppliers who share our commitment to quality.
Your yacht already has a dedicated Moonen project manager – your single point of contact for the entire build. Their brief is to work cooperatively with you and your team in a close and harmonious relationship. By understanding your requirements, as well as communicating our know-how and experience, we achieve the best possible outcomes.
On our yachts we reduce our footprint, fuel consumption and waste on our yachts. We are mindful about the systems we install, and how they can better the lives of our yacht owners and the external environment. From reducing plastic water bottle use to recirculating heat energy, you’ll find future-proof, practical technology on board.
